PTP/BONNER LEADERS STUDENT INFORMATION
OUTCOMES AND BENEFITS
20 Undergraduates in various majors will:
- Get assistance with resume, job search, and preparation while
earning two credits in Fall
- Intern in a nonprofit organization for 280 hours from mid-November
through mid-June.
- Work on a professional level project
- Earn a minimum of $8/hr.
- Some internships are eligible for an additional $1,000 Bonner
AmeriCorp scholarship
- Gain practice in professional skills through PTP internship
placement in local nonprofit organizations, schools, and government
programs
- Gain knowledge of leadership skills through a class on Leadership
in the Workplace sponsored by the Career Center and Crown College
- Gain contacts and role models among regional social sector professionals
THE PRODUCTS
- A professional level project for a social sector program or
organization

On-line Orientation & Application
Steps after being hired:
- Make sure Mentor has signed and returned all required Forms
and Contracts
- Make sure mentor has clicked hire button in the ER System
- If you have more than one work-study job, go into the ER System
to designate the split.
- Sign up for payroll at the Career Center. (Bring your passport
or drivers license and social security card.) Document
Requirements in Detail
- Get signed up for Bonner AmeriCorp with the Internship Program
staff in the Career Center. (Bring a copy of your birth certificate.)
- Work-study Timesheets and deadlines
After the program you can check on the status of your AmeriCorp
scholarship through my.AmeriCorp.gov
