CUIP Internship Orientation

Overview

Chancellor's Undergraduate Internship Program:

OVERVIEW: CUIP provides on-campus internships in academic and administrative departments throughout campus. Interns work with a mentor, develop personal and professional skills, and meet regularly with other CUIP interns in a leadership seminar led by the Dean of Undergraduate Education with guest lectures by campus leadership. CUIP interns take a lead role in producing a product or result in their one year internship, e.g., develop new recycling program; provide new outreach program; research and write policy recommendation report. Interns also attend a two unit course during both Fall and Spring Quarters (Mondays 5-6:45pm).

COMPENSATION: CUIP pays $8200 of an intern's academic year FEES directly to the student account. Students who are not California residents also pay tuition. Tuition is NOT covered and health insurance is NOT covered.
